Strength:

Adjustable levels for digital and analog.
Both coax and optical inputs and outputs.
Auto track writing for analog and digital sources with seperate noise threshold adjustment for each input.

Weakness:

40 minutes to reinitialize the CD-RW

This unit has all the things that were missing on the
PDR-04 for less than half the price.
Forget about the expensive media as the Audio CD-RW can be read on a computer with a burner and copied on a cheap
CD-R for the car.
The auto track writing works great. A handy feature when
duplicating old Tapes.

Strength:

Blank CDs are cheap. The machine is easy to use.

I bought this machine primarily to copy LPs to CD for use in the car and on a portable cd player. It's easy to set up and use and you can usually fit two LPs on a single CD. No, it doesn't sound as good as a top quality turntable, but it blows away most cassette decks. You can copy your CDs for the car and keep the originals at home without caring if they get stolen or fly out the window or whatever. Technology is great.
