Slightly wearmer than reality (works well in solid state system however)

After hurting my ears on a cambridge audio CD 300SE (neutral but major fatigue) and looking to upgrade my system I purchased the Marantz player. To my surprise this budget unit is quite pleasant. A bit warmer than reality and a bit shy of the better units priced $500 or more, it is a solid buy. After listening for hours it did not fatigue. Works well with NAD int. amp., DH lab cable and JM lab speakers. Five stars for value.
