Strength:
They are simply the best as far as my ears are concerned (I am fully aware that all opinions posted here are highly subjective).
Weakness:
Yes, they truly are expensive. If you are not willing to pay this amount of money for headphones, try the Beyerdynamic DT931. One of the best dynamic phones around. Better than the Sennheiser HD 600 (which I sold a couple of weeks ago). Probably the best headphones you can get. I was told that AKG is about to sell an "audiosphere"-device (as already available for the 'Hearo'-series) for the K-1000's in the near future! This would make an excellent product even better. Strength:
clarity, transparency, low distortion, holographic sound, professional design and quality, hi end product
Weakness:
Needs very good electronics, should be connected directly to speakers out of amplifier, a little bright in high frecuencies, moderate comfort Perhaps the best sound in electrodynamic technology headphones(Stax are electrostatic). The headphones are connected to the loudspeaker output of the amplifier. This is an advantage (more quality than headphones output) and disadvantage (you need a dedicated amplifier if you don't want remove the loudspeaker connections everytime). The comfort is enough, but a little heavy for hours of listening. The sound. Open, detailed (like studio nearfield monitors), the bass are present (incredible 'cause the K1000 is absolutly open design!),armonics in middles and highs are magicals and the tridemensional presentation are better than usual headphones. For all type of music. Hi end on your head Similar Products Used: sennheiser HD 600, Jecklin Float 2, electrostatic headphones (Stax) |
