Strength:

Looks awsome when worn behind neck, very good bass, very comfortable

Weakness:

too awkward to put on (Still can't get it right the first time) Looks really bad when worn on top.

Man, this pair of headphones was DESIGNED for my new mp3 player. Now i can't tell the diffrence between my mp3 player and my cd player!! The bass is full and deep, and it's very comfortable with two different pressure points. The design could be improved though. And how da hell do you put it on right the first time? I had to sit infrount of a mirror and see how i should put it on cause i was too scared to embarrass myself around other ppl. I swear, right now i still look like i'm putting on earings instead!!! But other than that, the low price seems to be it's only disadvantage.

Strength:

Better bass response than the stock MD phones. Comfortable, adjustable design. Fold compactly and fit in my MD case.

Weakness:

Butt ugly. Leakage.

These phones are vastly more comfortable than those annoying little earbuds. I was lugging a pair of Sony MDR-V900's around with my MD, but it was kind of ridiculous to use a big set of phones with a small player. The Koss Sporta-Pros were recommended by someone on the MD list. I'll second that endorsement. These phones will sound better than anything that's included with the minidisc players currently on the market.

Strength:

Great Bass, Low Price, Comfortable to Wear

Weakness:

Average Midtones

This headphones can be picked up for about 17.00 online, and they are worth every penny. Sounds better than some headphones over $75! If you love bass and are under a strict budget, you'll like these phones. My only quibble is that the midtones are rather weak, but otherwise, Koss' spinoff of the PortaPros, my previous favorite jogging headphone, are great.

Strength:

Bass, Sound quality

Weakness:

Lack of isolation.

Excellent head phones i use them for running and they are perfect. Buy these you will not be dissapointed unless you travel on the underground then they are useless. check out my review of the ex70lp if you travel. They are a bit bulky and i found them uncomfortable in the street style position but very comfortable in the upright position which is how i now use them. All together they have their place and they are very good at what they do. If your choosing some headphone please bear in mind their are very few headphones that are good at everything, especially in this price range, so think carefully about what you use them for and get what you need not what is fashionable and your money will be well spent. For walking around the street or small journey they are great if you travel on the underground get the ex70lp's from sony.

Strength:

Deep, rich base, great overall sound, sticks to ny ears when working out

Weakness:

Ugly

I bought an Iomega HipZip (a great product, by the way) and I needed some earphones to replace the pathetic earbuds that came with it. I read the reviews here and sure enough, the Sporta Pros were a super investment!

The sound is pretty good through the spectrum, and excellent for base and mid-tones. When I'm wearing headphones, I like my music loud, and these were more than adequate for my needs. I've heard that there's lots of leakage, but I have yet to do the 'bus' test (find out the volume at which nearby bus riders grimace at my invasion of their personal space). Unlike other posters here, I don't have a pair of $120 headphones at home to which I can compare these, but they certainly blow away any portable headphones I've ever used.

From a comfort perspective, I think these are great. One of the major requirements for me was that they would stick to my head when I was running or working out. So far, they've been perfect. The headband is tight and stays where you put it. Also, the swivel feature (you adjust the band to be over your head or behind it) makes these extremely flexible if you're wearing a hat or don't want to mess up your hair. They seem to stay on very well in either position. Also, there's foam padding over the earpiece to re-distribute some of the pressure to your temple, which adds to the comfort.

The only complaint I have is that they look like $5 headphones: lots of cheap-looking black plastic. However, they don't act cheap and they sound great. For $20 I defy anyone to find a better deal than these!

Strength:

The best affordable portable headphones out there. Good comfort, great sound.

Weakness:

The look isn't as fashionable as Sony Street Styles...but since these sound better...you'd be too absorbed into your music to care.

These sound identical to the Koss Portapros but are cheaper, have a less retro look, and are half the price. They are relatively comfortable, however because they will exert pressure on your ear and over an extended period of time will cause discomfort. However the comfort will blow Sony Streetstyles away since these exert plastic onto your ears whereas Koss has 4 foam cushion contacts total. They are quite self-adjustable.

I give them 5 for value cause they are very cheap, and 5 for overall because they are the best of their class of headphones (high efficiency portable headphones).

Strength:

Good bass. Clear highs. Ergonomy

Weakness:

Ugly. Looks super cheap. Definitely bigger than earbuds

After looking at the reviews for a while, I was looking for some Koss KSC35... Impossible to find them. Since I have an overseas plane trip tonight, I had to replace my Aiwa headphones that broke last week, as well as the POS Sony earbuds I already bought to replace them. I settled on the SportaPro mainly because it was the only one I could find in my area with the amount of time I had.

I am not disappointed. Ergonomy is excellent once you find the correct set-up. Sound is full and warm. I listen to a lot of trip-hop and atmospheric electronica and these headphones make the music deep and fullfilling. BAss is strong without being too aggressive, although I had to go one level lower on the megabass on my CD player.

I also bought a set of Koss KSC50, which I brought back to the shop the same evening. They hurt me only a few minutes after wearing them. The sound was comparable, with a tad less bass, maybe.

Overall, the SportaPro's/RSOptimusPro45 seems to be a great product, with excellent bang for the buck for wannabe audio enthusiasts like me.

Strength:

Bass superb; treble not bad either.

Weakness:

Possibly mid range a bit weak- but the strengths of this headphone outweigh the weaknesses!

Definately the headphone bargain of the moment - retails £29.99 UK (Richer Sounds) - you won't regret spending £30 on these - even if they are $20 in the states or less!! They transformed my MDR55 recording minidisc and it sounds superb now...

Strength:

Folds up, great sound quality, two wearing styles

Weakness:

Ugly ugly ugly, a bit uncomfortable

I recently bought the sportapro from best buy and was ammediatly amazed at the sound I could get out of my portable player compared to the sony headphones I was using before (the 30g's). When before I had to turn up bass all the way to get any bass response, I could now turn bass boost off and still hear low frequencies. When you do turn the bass on with the sportas, it's like having a sub in your ears! The problem with their sound, however is that the bass sometimes interferes with midrange a bit too much. However, I've only had this problem when the music has very heavy bass (such as thievery corporation), otherwise there is no problem.

One of the best things about the sportapro is how it's completely adjustable. Not only can you switch the headband two ways, but you can also adjust the headband to fit you. The ear pieces also move to fit your ears better. The fit can be a little uncomfortable at first, but as soon as you figure out how it's supposed to work it feels weightless.

Another cool feature is how it folds up into a compact little ball, which fits perfectly into an included carrying pouch. But, it seems to me that tightening the metal headband enough to fold it up bends it a little bit and the fit gets kind of tight.

And of course, like I said earlier, these things are ugly. But who cares about its problems? This thing is a great deal for $25! And they don't actually look too bad when you have them on. So if you're considering buying a pair, do it. You won't be disappointed.

Strength:

Solidly built, cord doesn't tangle easily cause its thick, heavy mid-bass

Weakness:

Not good enough for the price, low bass distorts much too easily

I expected a lot more from these headphones considering the reviews I read on them. They're supposed to have really heavy bass but my $200 JBL speakers have way better low bass, same with my $130 Kenwood car speakers. The way I see it, spending $60 on headphones should be getting me better headphones than $200 gets in speakers.
Anyways, I was comparing these with my Sony MDR-A34L (vertical in ear headphones) listening to a really bass heavy song, and realized that at the same volume level, the Sporta Pro's would distort on the low bass notes when the Sonys that cost half the price would just pound without any distortion. I wish I hadn't wasted $60 on these when I use the Sony's every day.
Also the Sporta Pros are so ugly you cant wear them in public unless you want to look like a moron.
Also the headphones started to make a buzzing noise in the bass after using them for a little while. And this was without playing them loud enough to make them distort.
