All in all, I would rate the Sennheiser 380 Pro headphones as just 'ok'. I purchased these because I could no longer use my Bose noise-canceling headphones at work and was looking for a good 'non-noise canceling', 'non-open' set of headphones. Other folks rated these headphones as great so I thought I'd take a chance. I'm pretty disappointed. The sound quality is really just average and nothing special in my amateur opinion. Other than the sound and the comfort (which again, doesn't approach that of the Bose Headphones), the case for these headphones is just about the most retarded, needlessly complex thing I've had the displeasure of encountering. Leave it to the Germans to design a headphone case such that one must contort and fold the headphones in the most ridiculous fashion imaginable and then try and wrap the cord around, in-between and underneath the headphones so that the case will close. The icing on the cake is that its not even a small case ! |

Strength:
Brilliant sound, less cables
Weakness:
Another battery These earphones are brilliant! When it comes to headphones there is only one name that matters - Sennheiser. The IS380 provides excellent wearing comfort, fantastic sound (Rich and smooth!), and the usual Sennheiser over-engineering and build quality. What is especially noticeable is the lack of hiss and static expected in wireless headphones. Also, the dynamic range and power handling is excellent - sound is good at both high and low volumes with no noticeable distortion. The headphones incorporate an automatic cut-off circuit that will cut in if distortion or noise gets above pre-set levels. |
