Strength:
Stick well on the head, offer probably the best sound in their price range
Weakness:
Uncomfortable After purchasing another discman I decided I had to go looking for some real headphones, and get rid of those tiny-crappy-uncomfortable Fontopias which came stock with the player and fell out of my ears all the time. I wanted something within the price range of around 25 - 30$, that would reproduce music at least fairly and not fall off my head when I'm running. I tried running with Sennheisers, but they were too large and caused my ears to sweat. OK, so here they are: blue with chrome accents, lightweight and they stick on the head pretty well. Too well. After a while your head starts to hurt because of the pressure and lack of designing precision. The sound quality is... well... average. Maybe they will sound better after a while. I surely hope so. The sound is warm, lacks detail and deeper bass, which seems common to all Sony portable audio. However, they are in fact warm-sounding and this places them above the KOSS KSC-15 that I tried, which don't even reproduce the midrange correctly. To wrap it up - I wanted quite cheap running-optimized headphones, and that's what I got. They won't fall off, they sound quite well for the price. You can't expect the sound quality and comfort of high-end Sennheisers from street wear cans. That's it. Similar Products Used: Sony microheadphones, Philips, Panasonic, Sennheiser HD475 and HD590 |

Strength:
Nice price! Nice look- Good sound-
Weakness:
Long Cable- Average sound compared to most earbuds- Low volume- Uncomforable These headphones are for people who are fed up with earbuds or are looking for stylish headphones. I personally don't like them cause there isn't that much bass, and they hurt after a while. For such great looking headphones, Sony didn't test them for comfort. After about 30 minutes of music, I have to remove them and rub my ears. Also the cable is way too long. This cable is so long it drives me crazy. When I have the headphones plugged into my minidisc player, i have atleast 3/4 of a foot of cord hanging out my pokect. Don't get me wrong cause I'm not short; this headphones cable is just too long. The sound quailty on the headphones are good for $25. They don't pump that much volume like me previous earbuds did but they do good for computer use. I bought these headphones for my brother as a gift but he didn't really use them. After I lost my iPod earbuds I borrowed these for a short time. If you've listened to the iPods earphones, there's no comparison. To end this review, Buy these only if your looking for nice headphones. Note: your not getting Excellent sound here, your getting average sound. I ended up busting $50 on some MDR-E888Lp's for my iPod. Those bust clear sounds and powerful bass. Then again they're earbuds. Similar Products Used: a lot...... |

Strength:
Great clear sound.
Weakness:
Cord a little to short. Great clear sound, I had a pair of JVC HA-820 before these they were also very good, but the Sony headphones are far better quality, much crisper and more depth of sound. Similar Products Used: JVC HA-820 |
