That information from the microphone is analyzed and a precise active noise cancellation wave is generated. When this "anti-noise" wave meets the unwanted noise, the noise is reduced so your music comes through loud and clear. With a full 22 Db of noise reduction, the HP/NC-IV offers more than 50 hours of battery life from AA cells housed in the right ear cup in addition to full-size, fold-flat leather-lined ear cups.
