Strength:

Style, Sound quality.

Weakness:

Price, people around u could complain at high volume

Ok i bought them thinking that they were not the best in sound quality on the market around this price, but after i started to listen some music with my ipod, i completely changed my mind. You can really have a new experience listening to the songs that you listen during the day with other headphones. A really great handling of every pitch, and every bass. And to have another proof of their quality i tried them with some heavy metal music, and with modest opinion they reacted very well.
Also if you are looking for a different design that is good choice, very stilish.
In the end a good choice if u are looking for a good comprimise between style e sound quality.

Strength:

The sound of these headphones is great, it cannot be denied. You can hear things true bookshelf studio monitors might miss. However, you have you use your own material and test against what you remember. Did I hear that before, was that in there, did somebody whisper?

The cord is the perfect length for laptops. No-body runs around the park with a lap top complaining that the cord is to long on their headphones. It just will not happen. I don’t know about the shape of the head pads, seems they would be ideal for someone who maybe lost both ears using clamp-on earphones. The pads would cover the holes in the side of the earless head and pipe in great sound.

Weakness:

Bang & Olufsen made some advertising claim that there is not much sound spillage to people near you when wearing Form-2. Not much spillage compared to what. Headphones that have not been around since before digital?

Could not find any online results about this advertised spillage or current frequency response charts on line for the Form-2 headsets.

There is one way, and only one way to test headphones for sound. That is to try them in whatever system you are going to make them a part of, with a variety of source material that you are very familiar with. This defiantly means using your own ipod/laptop on your most played tracks. Test them thoroughly; these phones seem sturdy enough that you may have them a long time.

The story I get is, a pair of Form-2’s went into some great governmental museum about 15 years ago, and no-one is contesting the title for the type. I wonder if the Mac was designed from the start for these Form-2 headphones. In any case, legend goes that when Bang & Olufsen was going to phase out Form-2, Apple told them they were ideal for the new ipods. Now, the Apple store carries them at the reduced price. You can test them there. Bring your laptops/ipods, material etc.

Customer Service

The local B&O store was unable to answer any of my questions with at least common sense. As always use your own judgment. How did that favorite tune sound to you?

The Bang & Olufsen storefront business, is installing "everything," for the vast hoard of new millionaires in the Bay area who are to busy or to lethargic to ask questions. In any case the Apple store carries Form-2 headphone sets for just under a $100.00 dollars.

I could not find a frequency response chart on line for the Form-2, but un-common sense tells us that a small speaker is not going to reproduce sub-sonic sound waves as well as larger transducers. The Form-2 does however do a fantastic job, for the convenience, and style. Nothing is forced into your ear but sound. Form-2’s are a lot lighter to wear than headphones that enclose your outer ear in a cup, while producing comparable sound. Form–2 pads are also safer than the earphones that shackle and threaten to tear off your ear if you are not careful.

Strength:

Excellent sound
Light
Nice design

Weakness:

Weak link between plug and cable, mine got smashed inside, so I had to cut the cable and get a new stereo plug.
Long cord (3 Meters) .
It can irritate my ears skin after 1 hour using them.

This are very slim and light headphones, but don't let their look trick you. The bass on this headphones are amazing. The sound quallity is awesome.
Very clear sound, no distortion. I also have a set of bose headphones (quiet comfort 2), and the sound quallity is not better than my B&O.
Also the price is very low for B&O regular prices.
Go buy them!, you will enjoy them!.

Strength:

Elegant design. Bold sound. Clarity and space.

Weakness:

Price and lack of technical information on this product

I have been a big time Bose fan, especially because of their Lifestyle systems. So when it came to buying a good headphone, the first choice (keeping the budget in mind) was Bose TriPort headphones. However, I also wanted to test the B&O's Form2. Fortunately, the local Apple store had both hooked up to iPods side by side. To test the sound quality, I set up the iPods to the same song (Allen Jackson's Five O' Clock) at identical spot and volume. Then I listened through both these headphones alternating them. To my dismay, Bose TriPort sounded horribly weak and muddled, whereas B&O Form2 was surprisingly clear and spacious in effect. I am not an accomplished audiophile, and like what I find good to my ears. So, to double check, I asked my 9 year old son to listen to the song through both the headphones and asked about his opinion. Although he was more interested in watching the video clip on another iPod, he casually pointed to the B&O Form2. To be extra sure that I do not fall in the trap of buying on impulse and return it later, I checked multiple songs with both the headphones. I also compared the headphones on iPod Nano but came to the same conclusion that my favorite company's headphone was just not at par wiith B&O's Form2. Therefore, I bought the latter and came home to enjoy my own little collection of music on my iPod.

These earphones are the best earphones all around , they were supposed to be discontinued but due to a review from apple saying they were the perfect accessorie for the ipod the market demand incresed , therefor b&o decided to keep the product alive. they sound great , they look great but as with most good quality open type earphones the cord is quite long . but i forgive them , i recommend them to anyone looking for asowme earphones.

-Great Construction -Replacement pads availible in stock at all B&O stores. -Great looks!

Weakness:

Cord is too long for travel use 3m.

True HiFi bliss. Not comparable to any other set. I travel for work and use them every moment with my IPod while flying through airports. I have had people come up to me to compliment on how nice they are, although they typically are complimenting the name B&O. While listening to certain tracks I can actually hear the band move inside the studio and smacking their lips preparing to sing the next line, which is amazing!

Strength:

Long term Build quality Sound quality Price Makes ANY source sound good (including a $30 Discman)

Weakness:

Bulky shape

While they are bulky for open ear design, sound quality cannot be beat by any other open air phones. even some studio monitors cannot beat the sound quality, but because there is no "outside" noise insulation, you can still be aware of your surroundings while travelling. I have been using the Form 2 for 4 years, and they wear like iron. The earpieces are "breakaway" so if something tries to crush them, they do come apart, but snap together very easily. The salesperson threw in a spare set of foam surrounds, but still have not had to use them. I have not had the opportunity to try the new B&O earphones, but something must happen to the Form 2 to get them out of my Kung Fu grip.

Seem too easy to break!

I got them in the summer took, almost a month to recieve them, because the store I got them from, told me they didn't produce them anymore, the guy was nice enough to try and find one for me :). He told me their really rare this headphones! Their amazing the sounds just jaw dropping. I dont really like the long chord. If I have the BeoSound 9000, like 6ft away from me I'd propably plug them in. I dont use these headphones alot.

Strength:

Great sound and very comfortable.

Weakness:

At high volume others get to enjoy your music too.

Size wise they are a bit much to travel with but at home when wanting to just kick back and throw on some headphones nothing I've used can compete (aside from my A8s). The extremely long cord allows one to still function around the house to a degree and the auto adjust earpieces are quite comfortable.
