Strength:
Very small and fit incredibly well in small AND big ear canals. Great bass response. / clear sound. Multi-sized ear-buds make this a ‘one size fits all’ VERY light … after 10-15 minutes you don’t even feel them in your ears. Sexy!
Weakness:
Sometimes they feel too colorful (bright) Sound better with an EQ Left bud cord is too short – the extension is a must have Overall I must say that these little guys have surprised me. I bought them strictly for portable use, to go under a hat (beanie). So my expectations of quality were not very high. Wow. I think these are the best sounding “speakers” for fewer than 50 bucks. Now mind you, I am not comparing these to just anything you can buy for 50 bucks (I have a pair of studio AKGs that are better on multiple levels and I spent barely over 50 on them) – I am talking about new stuff that is also portable to at least some extent :P. Little buds fit right inside your ear canal so the outside noise insulation is quite amazing, some frequencies still get in, but after a few times you learn to ignore that. The bass response is awesome, they are right InSide your head so it does not take much - very clean, very tight. The highs tend to be a little bright in my opinion and the mids seem to act a little funny. My MD player has a simple 6 band EQ which helps dramatically, but even flat these guys compete well. Read my strength weaknesses section for point by point ‘goods’ and ‘bads’. As a closing remark I just want to say that, once you get to a certain level of quality, how much you like or dislike a pair of headphones, or speakers or what ever else, really depends on what you like and what you dislike. Some people dig large amounts of bass and some don’t … etc. etc. etc. So if you can find a way to listen to a pair of these and see for yourself, you should really do that, it’s worth the trouble in my opinion. Strength:
Bass and treble are really crisp
Weakness:
Bass dominates the singer. Treble may also be dominated by bass. Sometimes u would hear the bass more than anything else Well first of all.I love listening to music.Am I am aware of all the sony headphone.I practically tried all of them except the 930 models and 888 model. This earphone is exceptionally good. The purity of the sounds of violin and instruments sounds really crisp. The bass is the best and the best i've ever heard. Although sometimes the bass of the earphone is dominating the voice of the singer.Apart from them it's perfect. I used to have mdrex70lp but it broke which cost 100 nz dollars.my dad bought me a new one .Mdrex71sl.I've got the white colour. Now I will really treasure this earphone. This earphone is design for people who are more into bass than treble sound.I've tested a few songs that has strong base and strong treble. They both sound great.I must repeat myself again.I playd a very strong bass song with a person singing. You can hardly hear the person singing.Thats the down side of this earphone. The treble are crisp.I reckon 4/5. I would like to try the 888lp out.But unfortunately it cost too much and its not released in nz yet. They fit quite comfortably in my ear.!! Altough it's quite disgusting that if u lend someone who has lots of wear wax.All the yellow gue stuck in the earbud.lol.Sick.Ewww That's all I have to say. If u really like headphones. Then i recommend mrq71 or mdrq55.I believe mdrq 55 has a more clearer bass and treble than mdrq71 but if u turn the volume bout 3/4 way up.U will hear the distortion of the mdrq55 but not mdrg73. Sony discman has the most powerful bass. I believe get mdrex71sl if u like bass. if not then buy mdrq 55 or mdrg73. If your really rich i recommend noise cancelling headphone mdnc11.I belive the quality will be the same as the 888lp.MAybe better.its 259 nz dollars.lol. !Have to be rich to buy that THe price was 60 hong kong dollars. In nz its 100 dollars. Similar Products Used: Mdre848 Mdre838 MDrg73 Mdrq55 Mdrex70 Mdrg52lp Some pansonic earphone. And the default earphone that sony gives u in nz. Mdrg56 |

Strength:
High fidelity sound. Good Bass. They make an “equal” spare set for my Bose Triports (which I love dearly)
Weakness:
Too Short cable. This set with factory-attached cable is most compatible with a MP3 player attached to upper arm or in chest pocket. Otherwise, you NEED the extension cable to use a CD player (that cannot be attached to your upper arm or placed in a pocket). OK. I sought a credible review for ear buds as my Bose Triports prevent me from wearing hats and caps in the winter. Last winter I went without a hat! Anyway, I saw these at Circuit City for $49.99. Too much money, went online and got them from Aaxes.com. I knew that they would be good for me because a reviewer compared them to the Bose Triports and other high-quality earphones. The biggest complaints were: 1. boomy bass, 2. too-short cable, 3. ill-fitting and poor sound. I thought . . . these are worth a try. I got them and have this to say: humans cannot hear the full range frequency response 6 - 23,000 Hz, but these deliver a goodly amount of sound! These are exceptional sound for ear buds. And they are both comfortable and secure in the ear. Be sure to choose the correct size ear bud. My ears are large, the set comes with the medium size attached, with 2 other sizes included. I put in the smallest size, which fits more snugly in the ear canal. This creates a vacuum that locks music in and noise out, and makes it possible to workout (if that is your goal). Be sure to push hard to connect the extension cord; at first I thought they were mismatched. Push hard until they snap. I'm out. Similar Products Used: Bose Triports 100% SONY MDR EX71SL 94% |
