My review of this cans is based on value as well as sound. Can the compete sonically with more expensive headphones? Well yes and no. No because the do not have the flat frequency response and frequency extension of more expensive headphones. Yes because despite that they are more musically involving then much more expensive headphones let say in the the $50.00-$80.00 that I have heard and owned this includes Sony's own MDR-v6 which hits all the frequency extremes but in my opinion is musically much less involving. So if frequency linearity and range is your priority look elsewhere if you want a cheap set of phone that can boogie with the music for the price of a pizza then these are great. I have to give them 4 stars for overall because they can do something many other headphones can't always do regardless of price and that is play music not just sound. |

Strength:
Pretty looks!, comfortable in long time listening.
Weakness:
Poor bass response, it feels like having drivers of 10mm, poor sensitivity or impedance non common? Good comfort headphones, but it´s sound is poor in sensitivity and bass response (it feels like micro-headphones, with no bass response), Not flat sound, the medium tones seems to be more prominent than others. Tyr the Behringer HPS3000, for a similar price they sound a lot better, the difference is the bass response. Customer Service Good, Sony has big support in my country (probed with my VAIO) Similar Products Used: Behringuer HPS3000, Technics RPF 290 |
