Do yourself a favour and pass on this product.

Bought as part of whole plasma theatre set up. Delivered the day they anounced samsung was out of the HD biz.
After about 3 months it wouldn't play brdvd's properly with freezing noise pixels no sound etc. up graded firmware with stores assistnace .wouldn't play brdvd's at all. returned the unit the store replaced with same model. it heated up so much we were afraid of fire. replaced that unit ( #3) with a bd-P1600 ( no charge) after 6 weeks playing same problems again.. back to the store mgr admited other customers complaining . They made me buy a sony temporarily while the -P1600 ( #4) is sent back to the factory. Regular DVDs play ok BRDVD's just don't seem to work well. My movie rental store hates me for all the exchanges. Played many BRDVD's on the sony so far AOK. I may tell the store to keep the samsung for a door jam depending on when they get it back. Both the sony & the samsung cost about the same.

no master dts,worst resolution of several tried.Returned and went with the 55 k from panasonic which overall best avail at present.
