This budget DVD player provides single-disc playback and even sneaks in a few frills. Its front panel has a touch of sculpted style and is easy to use, with its basic transport controls and a four-button cursor controller. The on-screen menu is straightforward and provides basic setup choices such as language, subtitle, aspect ratio, and Dolby Digital encoded or PCM audio output; it also lets you select chapters and tracks, and generally navigate the disc contents. Three fast and four slow motion speeds, in forward and reverse directions, are provided, and unexpectedly, there is even a three-level picture zoom feature and a 3D surround sound spatializer mode for two-speaker playback.
