Have owned this unit for a few years with no problems in the light use. My kids have inherited it for their room and don't exactly give it great care and feeding.

Just got a HD flat screen and really like having the component outputs to feed it.

We've had no problems with it.

Average quality performance, good for space saving if absolutely necessary. Other brands offer better quality and better price.

Have to hold down fast forward button for four seconds to get it fast forward to 2x speed. Then have to release button and press again to for another four seconds to get it to 4x. Release and press button again for 16x. Release and press button again for 100x. Remote is not backlit. Font and lettering on remote is hard to read unless in direct light. DVD takes too long to access, setup, read and display. Very poorly designed.

Avoid this model and all GoVideo products. I had purchased a unit previously and it also froze when playing DVDs. Parents bought this unit thinking to save space with DVD and VCR combo unit. No tech support phone number available in manual or website. Stuck with unit that only works as a doorstop. Website is worthless

Wouldn't recommend this brand to my archenemy.
