Strength:
looks nice, appears like it will last
Weakness:
crap,,laser goes and you are screwed I bought the xv-n44sl for my daughter and we used it about a dozen times and the laser died. a total piece of crap. hugely dissapointed in jvc. should have bought the cheezy $29.00 unit, which would still be working....what a rip off,,,,jvc is off my list! |

Strength:
Easy to use remote. Easy installation. Simple and clear display. Dual voltage a plus since I live in Italy.
Weakness:
None yet. I have heard alot of bad stuff about the longevity of DVD players and so I hope that my unit won't suffer the same fate. Keeping my fingers crossed. Would of been nicer in black. This unit is sleek, and promises to do everything. I just bought it to replace my playstation, that I used to run movies and music cd's via an optical cable that was plugged into my Denon reciever. The reciever powered my Bose 601,201 and a Yamaha subwoofer. The playstation had many limitations, but this player does everything well so far. It provides clear images from my dvd's and jumps from scene to scene without delay. CD's seem to play a little clearer, although its barely noticable.
