I use it mainly for CD playback only, so I won't comment on its picture quality.
It is truly a great CD player, no matter what kind of recoding is on cd, it will play it without creating any artificial "Deep sound stage", or "Silky smooth midrange", or "Highs out of this world".
No it doesn't do any of these things, what it does is plays music with ZERO LISTENING FATIGUE. There is not a trace of hardness, and that results in longer listening sessions without getting tired.
Not as musical as some other players I've had in the past, but I will take fatigue free sound over musical but tiring sound.

Buy it if you can find one, and you won't regret it.
