Today, Saturday February 24, 2001 I received an updated DPS-9.1 via UPS Red Saturday delivery. That, I believe is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Many thanks to Lincoln Palmer, the Customer Service Manager.

My dealer is going to swap out the unit today and then I will run all the varioue discs that were giving my original player fits.

The fix is here!!! I have been waiting for a while to send my unit back for the software upgrade. I returned my unit to my dealer and he made arrangements to send the unit back to Onkyo/Integra. I had my unit back within a week and so far everything is working perfect. This unit is NOW, the best DVD Video / Audio player on the planet. If you were wating to purchase this unit, now is the time. The progressive video is the best I've ever seen and the DVD Audio is excellent. 10 star rating. I have this unit matched up with the Onkyo 989 receiver and it sounds great.

Iam the proud owner of the Onkyo TS-DS989 reciever which in my opinion is the reference standard of recievers on the market today.Therefore,I was very excited about the new onkyo dvd player and quickly purchase it directly from onkyo.After connecting both units,I quickly realised that i was in audiophile heaven.Iam extremely pleased with both equipment and cannot find anything negative to say at this time.It is important that the best video and audio cables be used when connecting your equipment.
