Strength:

Works great for about 6 months.

Weakness:

After six months, begins to freeze constantly, then the inevitable HO2 error. Don't buy!!!

Crap...worked for about a year, then as so many others have described: the HO2 error message.

Strength:

It worked when I plugged it in new out of the box.

Weakness:

Failed unexpectedly for no detectable reason.

Same problem as too many already described below .. (guess I'm lucky though maybe -- 18 months no problem) then the dreaded H 02 error message. Time for an impact adjustment [ YO -- I Want th BIG HAMMER, EDDIE !! ] No good. I took the thing apart .. let's see what's going on here .. well here's what I suspect, reason I'm reporting this here .. This unit is a piece of junk, don't buy it, but if you've got one, if you disconnect it long enough, let the capacitors die out, shake it around, etc .. in other words GET TOUGH .. it may serve you for a little while longer .. mine is back in service until I can replace it .. oh yeah .. spent about 30 minutes waiting on the Panasonic phone to find out what to do .. a nice friendly guy tells me nothing useful except average repair cost is $154.95, shipping and handling not included. Same conclusion as others .. I expect better for $200 .. I would earnestly advise you not to favor Panasonic with your patronage. This story should not end this way.

This 'H02' error on this product destroyed years of my love with Panasonic. Absolute crap, don't buy. I usually always do research first, but did not this time since it was a 'good' brand. Boy, was I wrong. Consider yourself wise enough to do the research and learn from our mistake.

Strength:

Works great when it's new. Looks good with lotsa features.

Weakness:

ho2, H02, h02, whatever. Machine is toast after you get this message, and you will

Crap. Don't buy a Panasonic DVD. Looks good and works great for awhile. Then, with popcorn popped and soda in hand, you'll sit down friday night with that DVD you've been dying to see. Then H02, and your machine is toast. No warning except for a minute of freezing. Warranty is always up, so you're stuck with an anchor or a door stop. Never, never, never will I buy Panasonic. They can't even explain whats wrong with their machine and don't even want to know ya when it happens. Too many others on the market to take a chance on this crap.

Strength:

Great if your lucky and it works

Weakness:

Doesn't work!!!

Bought this DVD Player becuase it seemed like a good buy at the time....six months later I got the RO1 error called Panasonic and went through their "customer service" for about 75 it was fixed about a month later. Now one year later I am getting the HO2 error. What a rediculous piece of crap. Next time I am buying a $50 no brand which seems to be more reliable. I will never by Panasonic again.

Strength:

who cares

Weakness:

guaranteed to fail...going for a pioneer, sony, or jvc next

I can't believe this. After 9 months I got the H02 error code like everybody else. This happened last summer and have been using my PS2. Sears wouldn't take it back and it has been in storage ever since. I was still deciding whether or not to fix this. But after reading these reviews, guess it's time for a new player.

What a piece of Junk. I got this H02 error code. NOW WHAT?? Panasonc's web site offers no info on what the code means. I tell you what it means. chuck it in the garbage and never buy another Panasonic product again. A salesperson told me that dvd players have a 10% fail rate. I want to start a class action law suit, NOW!!
