One of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Thanks to ProntoEdit, the remote is well worth the money. Universal remotes are great except that you are generally stuck with someone else's design of how it should look and feel...not so with the Pronto. Still a few bugs in the software, but that's one of the great things about this remote...it can be fixed with software updates. Isn't technology great!?!

Thanks to prior reviews on Audioo Review, I finally "bit the bullet" (money-wise), and bought a Pronto. It is wonderful!
I have *totally* replaced eight remotes using only 43% of Pronto's internal memory. Rather than rehash all of the goodies included, I'd direct you to prontoedit.com and/or remotecentral.com for details.

Observations:

While one could certainly use Pronto effectively as a standalone, the combination of the unit along with prontoedit (free software from Phillips) is particularly powerful. While the software is not yet entirely bug-free (it's currently a Beta version), a little patience and practice produces incredible results.

The Philips Pronto remote should be the Reference by which all other touchscreen remotes in a similar price range are judged.
With it's software (ProntoEdit) no two remotes will be alike. You can customize till your heart's content. You are only limited by the generous amount of memory included (1MB) You can Share IR Codes, import BMP's, make screen shots, swap config files, have macros on any button etc.

I purchased mine for $299, although even at it's $399 MSRP is still well worth the price.
