Strength:
Well, it does have front A/V inputs Since it plays both VHS & DVD, it kills two components with one stone (but who the heck watches VHS anymore?)
Weakness:
Super SLOOOW Terrible remote with tiny, poorly placed buttons My mother-in-law bought this piece of garbage for the summer house at the beach. I hate it. Everything about this player is SLOOOW. You could go make a bag of popcorn after hitting the DVD eject button and still be back in time to watch the tray open. It's very sensitive about the discs being perfectly clean and won't play anything with the slightest blemish. The remote is absoutely terrible. It seriously drives me nuts. There are about 500 buttons on the thing and the DVD control buttons are tiny, placed too close together and are placed low on the remote mixed in with the buttons that you aren't likely to use like they were an afterthought. The Toshiba designers must have thought, "Uh, hey. We didn't leave any room on the remote for the DVD buttons! Oh, that's OK, we'll just squeeze them in at the bottom of the remote with all of the useless buttons that no one ever needs. Don't worry if they're too small, they can always push fast forward with the tip of a pencil." It's not very user friendly either. It's not intuitive at all.
