Strength:

size, style, simplicity of hookup

Weakness:

none so far, Bose Lifestyle 50 remote would be a nice option though.

Back in the 70's I owned 4 stacked Frazier 7 speakers and powered them with a Kenwood 9600 amp. In the early 90's I used them to make an incredible surround sound system, but the new wife thought they were too big. I relegated them to storage with every intention of putting them in the new family room, but they got stolen. I am mainly into movies now and I happened by a demo of the Bose Lifestyle 35 almost by accident. To make a long story short, I bought the Bose Lifestyle 28 for the upstairs, and the 35 for the family room downstairs. I have read several unflattering Bose reviews on the internet and have decided there is just a lot of cube envy going around. These systems are incredible. They sound great no matter where you place the speakers and the speakers are so small you can place them anywhere. I miss my Fraziers but these new Bose Lifesyle 28 and 35 systems do just about as much with a whole lot less space. Everyone who has heard them has been amazed.
Plus you can't believe how much wiring I cleaned up behind the TV. Now I need to start on the garage.

This product is good but at 1/4 the price. I will get rid of it and get an Onkyo envision which is 1/3 the price and sounds 10 times better.

Strength:

Size, Style, Sound quality, built very solid

Weakness:

Really haven't found any yet

Expensive but worth it in my opinion. Built extremely well with very smart options and features.

Set up correctly this sleek little system will deliver sound that is nothing shy of amazing with DVD's, CD's and even the integrated tuner.

I have in the past owned some very high end audio components including Klipsch La Scalas ( the BIG speakers ) Krell amp & pre, Audio Source and others. I will admit this Bose system cannot bounce my house around like my La Scalas could (when I was in college) but, then again they're about the weight and size of the tweeter horns of the big fellas.

I'm in a very moderate Apt now and really don't feel like toting around 115 lb speakers any more, which makes this 35 system perfect. Don't get me wrong, I can still piss off the neighbors, but they will never see it coming! (watching me move in anyway)

I'm sure a lot of you have read several anti-Bose articles on the internet ( I sure have ) I'm thinking most of those folks haven't gotten as far as I have with it being set up and running in my living room. Give it a try, if you don't like it, take it back!

Maybe my $600.00 dollar Sony system I bought at Best Buy. I think that's more like apples and oranges though.
