Strength:

Aesthetically pleasing design, very attractive
blue illuminated receiver unit, eye catching
very deep and rich bass, seperate control to raise/lower sub power
front tower speakers feature a heavy wood base, nice and sturdy
super low price...a lot of bang (or boom) for the buck!!!

Weakness:

the speaker wire included was ample, but a larger guage might increase sound quality

the remote control is kind of cheap and does not illuminate or glow in the dark

requires 2 electric plug ins (one for the receiver, one for the subwoofer) and since the two are generally a ways from each other you find yourself hoping there is a nearby outlet wherever you decide to position the subwoofer, then worry about hiding wires.

all speakers wires connect in the rear of the subwoofer, not the receiver.

This product is very easy to set up, the receiver has a "smart set up" mode where you simply hook up all the wires then sit on the couch (or wherever you tend to watch movies at) and clap your hands, the system automatically configures the output settings based upon your viewing location. I have played CD's, CD-R's, DVD's, and DVD-R's with absolutely no troubles. This is a very nice system for the money, i was not only very impressed myself but have reccomended it to several people.
