Strength:
One of the biggest strengths is by far the subwoofer. It offers a wider range of bass and sound. Combine this subwoofer with better quality cables and you can hear the difference. Another strength is the amount of inputs both analog and digital. This system offers 3 optical and 1 coax input for the best possible sound. The system also offers plenty of analog inputs for those non-digital components you still enjoy.
Weakness:
Not many weaknesses in this system for its price. One upgrade Onkyo should consider on this model is better connections for the "B" speakers. I am one of those listeners who likes to listen to the same thing in multiple rooms without a whole lot of extra equipment and this system allows me to do that with the extra set of speaker connections. However, these connections are the lowest possible quality and do not offer the best possible sound. Upgrading these jacks would improve that feature. This is one of the best sounding systems you can find in your local stores. I am so impressed with it's range and quality. Amazing sound and outstanding ease of use. Crisp sound from all seven speakers and tremendous bass from the subwoofer. I have listened to many sound systems in this price range and bang for your buck this is top notch. Onkyo not only delivers great sound but they go over the top with this model.
Similar Products Used: When compared to the similar priced systems that JVC, Sony, Panasonic have to offer this systems stands out. It's larger subwoofer offers more range of bass than the others have to offer. The receiver on this system is also capable of more sound than the similar priced systems. If you don't believe me head to your local store and listen for yourself. This is the best Home Theater in a Box available |
