Poor quality. Does not perform properly with repeated use

Would not buy this product or similar Panasonic home theater products. I purchased this item 2-3 years ago. I never really used it much after purchasing it due to a lack of free time. About a year ago I started using it on a regular basis. I used the 5 disc DVD portion on a daily basis. After a couple of months it developed a problem. Sometimes when I started the unit the picture was off center and distorted. I had to reset the unit to correct. It happened intermittently so it was not a big problem. Soon it happened more frequently and eventually it would take at least 30 minutes before the picture would return to normal. Next, 3 of the 5 speakers stopped working and the distortion became more frequent. Finally, it would no longer read a disc and would sometimes flash a code 61, which according to the manual means it has a power supply problem. I replaced the wires and cables to assure there were no shorts but still the problem persists. From what I have read about this system and other Panasonic Home Theater systems this is an existing problem that Panasonic is aware of but refuses to correct. I suggest you research other brands. Until Panasonic is willing to correct these defects, I would steer clear of their products

Have sent a couple of emails and get the same response, reset the unit and take it to be repaired.
