Disregarding other reviews, I find this system perfect for audio sound and radio reception. I am not using it for DVD. It has an extremely smart compact appearance, and emits excellent sound, it is the best system I have had. Currently it is available on Ebay at ridiculously low prices considering its very high quality.

i bought this system for my bedroom. I loved it until all of a sudden it stopped playing cds and dvds. i tried head cleaners etc... nothing works. i guess i just wasted seven hundred dollars on looks.

*Biggest weakness: you cannot upgrade to better speakers. *High and midrange not really satisfying *Basses are actually quite good - you get the cinema experience without too much booming *Listening to your rock albums is a nono *Listening to your pop/dance albums is reasonable

It is a low budget DVD stereo system. Do not expect too much from it, you get what you pay for.

well, i bought this unit about a year and a half ago and was impress with the picture quality and sound for this little unit because i wanted a system for my bedroom,well to make a long story short,this unit died on me,that right,no disc on the display.my cousin have a unit also and his goes and comes.i wrote panasonic and they just responded with the old i sorry to hear of this blah blah.well,right now i use this unit as a door stop(i'll be posting pics soon)i whould chalk this up as experience and i can say that i will never buy ever buy anything from panasonic again not even batteries.they don't stand behind their products,period...

Looks great, sounds OK. Multi-region DVD.

No facility to store user settings. Cannot play CD-R's, CD-RW's etc. Extra DTS decoder needed to play DTS discs.

Would have at least expected this unit to play CD-R's. The front panel suggests that DTS is built in,,,however, it only refers to DTS output availability. Being able to store user settings would be advantageous instead of having to trawl through various procedures each time a DVD is inserted. The sound is reasonable for a unit of this price.
