Strength:
Strong but not overwhelming bass response. Mobile display. Plays CD-RWs with no hassle.
Weakness:
Remote is too big. They should make a credit card companion remote - like Nakamichi''s. A surprisingly competent all-in-one. Packed with features - VCD/DVD/CD-RW playback, wake up timer, mutli-function/brand remote. Coaxial and optical digital inputs. S-video in/out. Perfect for a bedroom. Strength:
stylish styling, can play mp3's, easy setup, good sound, not pricey, great picture.
Weakness:
subwoofer cannot play very loud, no component video out, needs a backlit remote. I've had this system for just over a year now and it's great. It has a great picture and good sound. The picture looks fantastic hooked up to my 50 inch toshiba. It's a sleek stylish little system that will fit almost anywhere. The only gripes for me is that the sub doesn't play loud or deep enough for my tastes, but you could expect that from all home theater in box systems, and that it needs a backlit remote for use in a dark room. It's a great system if you are just starting out a home theater or not a hardcore audio/videophile. The model has been since discontinued and replaced by the dvd-77, so that's what would be looking for now. Great little system. Similar Products Used: none. |

Strength:
Reads any CD-R, DC-RW, VCD and SVCD. Compact & stylish. Best price around for a true 5.1 HTIB. Pioneer Canada's customer support: best in class if you have any questions.
Weakness:
No MP3. Like any HTIB upgreadability might become an issue. No progressive scan. I am by no means a serious audiophile and this is my first DVD player, so I certainly don't qualify as an expert, but I love this system. Similar Products Used: None |
