Sharp HTDP3000 Home Theater in a Box

Sharp HTDP3000 Home Theater in a Box

DESCRIPTION

Although Dolby Pro-Logic systems have all but been replaced by Dolby Digital and DTS surround formats, they still represent an inexpensive surround solution for home theater. Sharp's HT-DP3000 combines a Dolby Pro-Logic receiver with six speakers, one of which is a 25-watt powered subwoofer. The receiver supplies 25 watts to the left, right, surrounds and to the center speaker for a total of 125 watts. The center channel and front main speakers are magnetically shielded so they shouldn't cause any distortion to your TV. A five-mode preset EQ lets you tailor your system's sound and a sleep/timer function lets you conk out without worrying about driving up your electric bill. The receiver features an AM/FM tuner and 40 station presets. The front panel hosts a jog/shuttle dial for easy operation of system settings. The X-Bass setting lets you boost the bass, and the HT-DP3000 comes with a full-function 21-key remote control. The step-up HT-DD5000 will not only give you more power, but also decodes Dolby Digital.

Strength:

Solid unit, good clean sound, features like the big guys.

Weakness:

Requires its own remote control - can't be controlled by my TV remote.

Great system, works with all my stuff and was easy to set up. I'd recomend this one to friends.
