Strength:
DVD, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3s my replacement of the first one which broke after 4 months has now broken after another 14 months. while it worked it was fine. the last few months it would occasionally make a grinding noise and discs got stuck. yes it was cheap, but there are lots of other DVD players at this price point. |

Strength:
5 disc changer with 3 random play modes: one disc only, on each disc sequentially and across all cd's in the changer. In addition, this unit does not skip or freeze on any of the rented DVDs so far. It has all of the outputs any enthusiast could ask for (Digital coax, optical, component video....).
Weakness:
Many people on other review sites have complianed that the remote control is too small, but personally I don't mind the size, however I agree that the pause button should be larger or relocated to make it more intuitive to use. Sweet deal for little $. This DVD changer replaces my perpetually defective Sony DVD S360. Because I do not use a separate CD player, this changer & suits my needs perfectly. In addition to stellar performance for CD & DVD playback, it is feature rich and it did not cost a fortune. An added bonus is that it plays all of the CD-R & CD-RW's that the Sony did not recognize. I have not tested MP3's, so I cannot comment on that, but for everything thing else, this model gets an A++. Similar Products Used: Sony DVD S360 (paperweight) |
