Strength:

Looks good

Weakness:

I have tapes that work great on my 2 Toshiba's but have a horrible picture when I play them on this Sony. I have to continually use the tracking feature. Why are the tracking buttons not on the remote? My Toshiba's have the tracking on the remote. The Sony requires me to walk to the unit to adjust. I would return it again, but both of these units did the same.

This is the worst vcr I have ever owned. I have owned atleast 10 in my life. I returned the first one because it would make a horrible racket when rewinding. It was past 30 days, so Circuit city wouldn't take it. I had to send it back to Sony for a replacement. You would think that Sony would know how to build a VCR by now, but these are junk.

Strength:

Makes good quality recordings. Playback is smooth. Has front AV2 connections.

Weakness:

None found.

Good VCR, especially given the low price. I got it on the closeout shelf at Target. This VCR produces a good clear picture, and records good quality tapes too. It's basic, but I don't need much more than the ability to record and playback.
