Weakness:

Silver does not match most people current "Entertainment Stack"

Well I bought this unit as a replacement to an aging Sony 4HD that I bought 4 or 5 years ago when Sony first started making VCRs in the 17" format (For stacking). I am very impressed with the quaility of the recording on this unit. It is much better than what my older Sony used to deliver. I like the ability to program the VCR with the "knob" on the front instead of using a remote.

One thing however, what is the deal with making it Silver? most peoples gear is Black, why produce a consumer grade VCR that matches the color of your Elite "ES" equipment. I have a Sony DVD player, Sony STR-935 reciever, Playstation 2, ALL OF IT IS BLACK! WHY MESS WITH THE SYSTEM.

My Vega TV is silver so I guess it "kinda" works. Oh well, now I gotta upgrade to made my gear match again.

Note: The whole anti-Silver thing is just a joke. Its really a great VCR. Buy 5 of them.
