Strength:

All the bells and whistles with an atractive colour. Functional remote and a turbo charged rewinder.

Weakness:

Strong moter noise and questional quality of the face plate buttons

Good value for the price, if you don't mind lots of tape noise.

Strength:

Very fast in FF @ RW, front RCA inputs.

Weakness:

No glaring ones for this price range.

Overall this is a pretty good VCR. I paid just under $200 Canadian which was quite good. I bought the VCR in Jan 2000 and have had no problems at all, and since I play at least 5 movies a week this bodes well. Would not hesitate in recommending it.

Strength:

Price, VCR+ (although never used), universal remote, auto clock set

Weakness:

Lack of S-Video out, audio takes a while to come back after FF or REW

A fairly nice Hi-Fi VCR especially for the price. Has most features including VCR+, SAP, auto-clock set, extended data such as station ID and current program name.

Now that I'm looking for a new TV, just found out that this VCR doesn't have a S-video. Rewinding tapes is erratic, sometimes rewinds fairly quickly (when the tape is towards the end) but sometimes rewinds very slowly (when tape is towards the beginning).

VCR+ would be a nice feature but the codes are not as readily available. The Universal remote is fairly nice. It's able to control most of the features of my old Sony TV.

Strength:

Simple Design, Sufficiet RCA Inputs and Outputs, Nice Remote

Weakness:

Poor Buttons, Unsturdy Case, Slow

Although I hardly use my VCR, the M675 is satisfactory for my needs. After all, it is a 4-head hi-fi VCR, and from my understanding, it was purchased for less than $100. The functions are slow to respond, and the VCR moves due to the force you have to use to push in the buttons! However, it plays tapes, records, has RCA inputs and outputs...your typical VCR. All in all, I willnever use "VCR-PLUS" but maybe I'll watch my 1993 trip to Myrtle Beach. Stick to DVD my friends because VCRs will soon be obscolete.
