Very easy to set up. Instructions for every possible connection to your TV and receiver/amp. Comes with power cord, 25' phone cord, phone line splitter,ir control cable,serial control cable,S video cable, composite cable and rf coaxial cable. After set up the SD-H400 takes to to Tivo central where all the fun begins. The ease of setting up Tivo was the easiest thing to do. This is my first time with Tivo and it is just great, what I really like was that it comes with Tivo basic take requires no charge what so ever. It also comes with a 45 day trial of Tivo Plus. I am in the trial of Tivo plus now and it does a lot more that Tivo basic. The basic does get you up and recording and is really a great value since it is free. The recording length is up to 80 hours, for best quality recording you get 23 hours. The dvd player is progressive and has many features of a quality player. I am very happy with this unit and reallt enjoy the functionality of the DVD/Tivo combination.
