Strength:
Good picture quality.
Weakness:
Almost everything is done via the remote control and cannot be done on the VCR itself. A very annoying "feature" is that the time elapsed and display mode are displayed on the top of your TV by default. By pressing a button on the remote, you can remove the lettering, but you have to do this each and every time you watch a video. After a while, the button stopped working. Good value for the money. Paid only $70 at Target. However, would not recommend it. Read on. |

Strength:
Ease of hook up, auto channel search.
Weakness:
Picture quality is excellent for the low price paid, but I would have liked a little better from Toshiba. The auto time search failed to work on digital cable signal. ???. Easy to manually set up though. Not bad, but not the best either. The price is great for the brand and quality. I would have liked a little more solid construction, and a little better picture quality. Some flicker is noticed on older tapes. Audio output is adequate, but nothing special. |

Strength:
Price, picture quality Bought this unit for my mother. It was the least expensive 4 head hifi unit from a reputable brand. It appears to be very well built compared to others in this price range. I was also pleasantly surprised by the picture and sound quality. This is a great vcr for non-technical people. Very easy to set up - auto clock set, auto tracking, batteries and cables included.
