Strength:
very powerful, great bass, great sound adjustments (bass mid treble), nice looks, beefy woofers and tweeters, true hi fi sound.
Weakness:
no midrange speaker, no AUX out, no virtual surround. This is a very decent system....among the best I've ever had. The only system I can compare is the JVC MX-J50( 97 model) it was 120 watts per channel, sounded close to the aiwa... don't let the 140 watts X2 on the aiwa fool you...its actually 112 X 2...its 140 at like 1KHZ only. It plays decently loud, not extremely loud, and it does have enough bass that it doesnt need a subwoofer. The catch is, you can turn it as loud as you want, and it never distorts. the amplifier automatically controls it somehow so that it wont distort. I've played it at max volume for a few hours, and it never distorted. One thing I dont like is...yea it has 4 speakers...2 of which are super tweeters that you can't really hear. No mid, just a woofer, tweeter, and 2 s.tweeters. It is a very nice looking system...theres been better..but this is more for a modern home or a teens bedroom. this will fill a small to mid sized house with sound. very good overall..no complaints with the sound...the sound is so superb..it really is TRUE HI-FI SOUND. aiwa's done it again!!
