Strength:

the bose wave radio cd has a big sound for a small compact easy to use unit

Weakness:

this product is not even close to being worth five hundred dollars. it probobly cost 40 dollars to make and the sound is not anything special.

do not buy this product. save yourself the money and buy something you will be happy with for years. if you buy this product you will be embarrassed because your friends will listen to it and find out you spent five hundred dollars on it and laugh at you because you are a moron.

Strength:

small size, excellent return policy

Weakness:

poor quality sound

We bought the wave radio with CD after seeing the advertisements for "full rich sound".

We were completely dissapointed by the sound quality. The wave radio is basicly a good quality clock radio. The only problem is that I've never paid $500 for a clock radio before. If you are expecting stereo quality sound, you too will be dissapointed. At very low listening levels the sound was OK, but turn it up at all and the sound goes straight downhill.

One excellent feature is the 30 days no questions asked return policy. We called Bose and they even gave us a FEDX account number to charge the return shipping to. Excellent customer service.

Broken
Defective Customer Service

I ordered this product with some excitement. It arrived broken. When I called customer service, the agent wasted half an hour trying unsuccessfully to find my order. Upon asking, I was told that about 5% of their products arrive broken!

Another service agent finally called back with return instructions, and the assurance that another unit would be shipped the next day for overnight delivery. Its now a week later and a call to Bose confirmed that the replacement unit hasn't even shipped!

I'm now too annoyed with the company to even consider keeping the product if a replacement ever arrives.

Strength:

Compact, Adequate Sound, Adjustable & Automatic Dimmer

Weakness:

Pricy & no bass control.

First of all, I was reluctant to purchase one at first
b/c of the high price tag, but I couldnt find any adequate
cheap ass clock radios that suites my needs elsewhere, so
I got this certain model. I strickly use it as a alarm clock to wake me up early in the morning (5:15am), and it
wakes me up every single day. The Sound quality is up to
par and it has a nice slick look that goes with the decor
of my bedroom. For those who have the extra cash, go and
grab one, for those who are low on green, forget it. Its true what people say about the price, you can probably get a nice receiver or speakers with that money, but personally
I wont be having any televisions, receivers, speakers, dvd's or vcr's in my bedroom. The bedroom is strickly for
sleeping or getting laid, and if I wanted to blast my radio,
I'll just head out to the living room and turn on my Denon 1800 receiver along with my 7 speakers setup using 5-channel stereo or maybe watch Saving private Ryan via DTS.
Off Note: The Perfect Setup, Denon Receiver 2800, Polk Speakers (6 Speaker setup including rear/center, and if you have the dough, a additional FL/FR speakers which can be turned on using B switch), all that along with a Sony 36 Inch XBR Widescreen Television). OR you can goto Kmart and get a cheap ass clock radio for under 10 bucks.

Strength:

Elegantly desinged audio unit with excellent sound for its size.

Weakness:

Very expensive for its class.

We bought the Bose Wave Radio (not including a CD player) mainly to hear FM radio in our dining room. We had learned it had a great FM tuner and we liked the small size and elegant design. Overall we are very satisfied with the product. It produces a crisp, clear sound and the tuner delivers uninterrupted FM reception from our home --which has not always easy for us. Our only grievance is the cost. There are certainly a lot of other options out their including the mini-system category of audio equipment but few have such an elegant sleek, design which was important to us. The Bose Wave Radio is a smart buy for those who want good quality sound from a small piece of equipment that looks nice in any room.

Strength:

The best clock radio/CD on the market (my apologies to Cambridge Soundworks)

Weakness:

pricey

Is Bose overpriced? Of course!
Is this the best little clock radio/CD on the market? No question about it.
The Bose Waveradio/CD is a real jewel. Bose has always been more of a marketing company than an audio company. They really understand the branding concept and have done quite well with it.
Before you jump on the Bose-bashing bandwagon..consider what the Waveradio/CD is......it's FREAKIN' CLOCK RADIO!!!
And it's the finest one on the market.
You WILL enjoy it!. You decide if it's worth $499.

Strength:

Easy to use

Weakness:

Price Sound

Some times I feel it was a good purchase some times I think it was a terrible one, basically because I know that for the same money or with a couple of hundred more I could have gotten some thing with much better sound. I don't encourage my friends to buy it is expensive and the sound quality is rather poor, don't be impressed by the brand, the designee or the demonstartion at the Bose show room.

Strength:

Size, simplicity, Dimming light, and shall we just say the best sound available.

Weakness:

its pricey, but if you dont want to spend that much on audio, dont. If you want the best sound, buy nothing other than the Bose.

This radio/CD produces the best sound available. Period. If you are looking for something to blow down the walls or something with a hundred gadgets to impress your little brother, then dont buy the Bose wave cd player. Dont count out my opinion just because I'm a college student. I have been interested in quality audio for longer than most people. The bose is very pricey, but i sucked it up and paid. (mine was remanufactured so it was only 450.) The voice quality is amazing, but the bass is kinda lacking. So i bought a Yamaha powered sub for it and the sound is absolutely supurb. Bose gives you 90 days to try it out, take that at least, if u dont like it, return it. Patrick.

Weakness:

not a good value for money

I received the Bose radio for Christmas and was not impressed with the sound quality for the money. Tried unit in a few different rooms and sound did not improve. Can't see spending $500.00 for this. You can do far better with a mini system for less money.

Sounds like a loud am radio

This radio/CD produces the worst sound available. Period. If you are looking for something that has good sound, or to blow down the walls or something with a hundred gadgets to impress your little brother, then dont buy the Bose wave cd player.
I have been interested in quality audio for longer than most people. The bose is foolishly pricey, and it sucks The voice quality is amazingly poor , but the bass is really lacking. Bose gives you 90 days to try it out, take that at least, if you dont like it, return it. I was able to ascertain that it sucked in 1 minute, so I didn't need 90 days. I.
