Strength:
Nice looking components that still do not look dated more than 10 years later. Also, nicely packaged and easy to set-up or disassemble for moves.
Weakness:
Stock speakers This is a well designed system that is easy to use and well-integrated. Infrequently used buttons/features are hidden away. A nice feature is the PHONO input, for those who still listen to vinyl. Sound quality is decent to good. Or at least until I replaced the speakers with higher quality monitors. The speakers are the weak link! Better quality speakers will definitely bring out the most in this system. |

From all the component systtems around (and I have listened to Yamaha, NAD, Marantz etc) this one definitely is the best, Its cd-player produces a fabulous sound quality: bright, not too sharp or too weak but just right. Combined with its powerfull discrete 40W receiver the sound quality is very nice: good mid range, perfect highs and warm lows. Its tapedeck is very good either. Although this system may not have all the extra buttons others have, it is very user friendly and beats the competition hands down, one thing must be said: use large speakers no bookshelf speakers (they don't do right to the receiver quality). |
