So I stopped at a display of several shelf systems with no intent to buy, just flipping them all on & off and fiddling around when I came across this JVC. The sound quality was light years beyond every other shelf system in the store. This was clearly a completely different animal, in a class by itself. Better even than the famous Bose Wave, in my opinion. I switched it back off and bought it without hesitation. I've had it for four years now and it still functions like new. It's also a beautiful design. The top is glass and the edges illuminate with the rest of the blue lights. I believe it might be the same model as the one Will Smith's character had in I Robot, the one the scientist couldn't figure out how to turn off. (just a bit of trivia) All in all a magnificent machine.
