Weakness:
Noise It was working fine during one year. I did not use it pretty often. Then one day it stoped respond on the middle of the song. I don't think that brand prodact should work like this. Think twice before you buy it!!! |

Strength:
Sound is at a decent tone, tape playback has no hiss and still has the highs. The material of the base speakers at this size since with paper cone and foam they both Will rote. The high frequencies don't scratch at a Very loud state. Has a remote but, what else am I supposed to say? Ok on to the next.
Weakness:
Well this might be longer than the top. First, with the watage it is cappable of producing, these speakers can not handle it. They distort IF you turn the base up. I wounder how bad they would sound if they were made of paper since the material they are made of allows them to be played louder without distorting. This is a Major flaw, no outputs for extra devices just 1 output and it works Only with the cd and tape so if you want to connect a cheap amp for a sub just to hear movies or pc stuff you couldn't. I don't like the motor of the door because if you ever had it rise on something it will just break since its made of plastic. Well I think that's not too much, don't you? Honestly for the price it is really good. To me this 240$ unit is just as good as the more expencive units with the exception of its outputs and limit for its base at higher levels than normal. Similar Products Used: I have tried out all sorts of mini systems in the market and I do mean Alot. I have no idea what model numbers they were but, to give you a jest of it here goes: Yamaha, Panasonic, Onkyo, Aiwa, Sony, Jvc, Teac, Denon, Pioneer. That's more then 1 model off each not one. |

Strength:
Cool looking, front-loading CD player, small size, easy-to-use, affordable.
Weakness:
Limited deep bass I specifically bought this unit to put on a den bookshelf. I like the way the unit sounds and works. In the small den where I placed it, it sounds great. Although I cited it as having limited deep bass, it actually has pretty good bass for its size. It's great for casual listening and doesn't take up a lot of room. It also looks pretty cool as well. I particularly like the motorized CD front cover...very slick! In its price class, I feel it outperforms any other brand. In looks there's really no competition! Strength:
Extremly cool look, the tray ligths when the door closes. Disk tray can be locked. Lots of functionalities.
Weakness:
Noisy amplifier. For my taste the blue color of the fabric covering the loudspeakers is really ugly. Soon after I bought it I noticed that my unit had a malfunction. After playing CDs for a while it began having problems at tracking the next song. Unfortunately this happened in a random way, so it was difficult for the technicians to detect the problem and fix it. They ended up changing the whole laser pickup section. I have'n had any problems since then. Similar Products Used: FSV5 |

Strength:
Slick Design. Neon blue light lits everything up in the dark...very cool. Usable remote.
Weakness:
Average Sound. Very weak on low volume. I bought it just because of its looks. The wooden speaker matches my desk perfectly and the system looks not-so-cheap. It's very cool when the blue light reflects on the CD while it's spinning. But the best part ends here. Other than it's good looks, not much's there. The sound is very average like its counterparts, but the others usually cost less. I'm quiet listener, so the volume's always very low, and it doesn't sound too good. Sometimes vocals are barely audible on low volume, so if you are like me, don't buy this. But if you like loud music and care about looks, then I think you'd be fine with this system.
