This is a must buy product if you can still find them as this model was probably discontinued some time ago. I previously owned a Bose Wave Radio/CD before owning this shelf system. This Magnavox system blows away the Bose at nearly 1/5 of the price. It's got much better dynamics, transient speed, imaging and spacial continuity. I replaced the stock speaker cables with Transparent Music/Wave speaker cables and saw a substantial upgrade in overall pace rhythm & timing. Where it will surprise you is with classical music or organ music. Instruments appear across a broad soundstage with individual detail and absolutely no muddiness of the lower registers. In some cases it presents a "you are there" experience. I would easily sell my main rig if it came between the two.
