no pre-amp inputs or outputs

The shelf system I own is the XL-505. I don't know if it is a typo, or if there really is a XS-505, but the product I am reviwing is a XL-505. Lack of bass and high THD make it a bad choice if you have the money to spend on a better system, however it can handle mids and highs very well and is compact enough to fit on any desk without adding too much clutter. Only 3 watts per channel (ouch!), so I might purchase some very sensitive (95-101 dB SPL) drivers and a powered sub and still for under $300 I will have a full range, decent shelf system for my small house. For the price, ($99) you can't go wrong.
