Strength:

good sound, excellent md recording/editing

Weakness:

semi-goofy looking

i got this system from crutchfield for 300 bucks. for the price, it is a great setup. plenty of bass for everything but rap, and it has a sub output if you decide you need it. the only thing i don't like about it is the spacey design. why are most of the mini systems out there designed like they were made for some sci-fi film?

I bought this system, becuase it combines MD, CD, Casstte plus Karoke. It has got 60 + 60 W of power. The output is very good and it has very good Bass with the quick edge woofers. I am very satisfied with the system. The MD unit comes as a separate unit but it fits fine with the whole system. MD recording are excellent. A lot of features + good sound for the price.
I thought I will add more punch to the system and I ordered SL10 speakers from infinity and tried to connect with that. But the SL10's are no match to the original speakers. The original speakers sound too good. So I left the system as it is. A VERY GOOD BUY.

Strength:

Where to begin! Great bass and overall sound quality. Very easy to use. Seperate MD unit. Remote control is easy to use. Plenty of power to spare!

Weakness:

NONE

What a great unit! Power is 60x2 but seems like so much more. Volume goes up to 30 and I have never had to put it up past 22 cause it is so freaking loud! Speakers are incredible, bass response is great (especially for 6" woofers), your friends will be trying to find a subwoofer in the room. Great overall balance of sound and no distortion no matter how loud you turn them up. CD changer is good, it features DJ effects that can make surprisingly cool remixes. A great plus is that it is the only CD player that I know of that plays CD/RW! But to tell you the truth I never use it since it comes with a MD recorder. Worth the $300 by itself, the MD recorder is a music lover's dream come true. Sound quality is identical to CD's and recording takes the push of 1 button to copy a CD. I love having the MD unit seperate from the main unit because I can take it to my friend's houses with ease. Intergrates very well with the main unit in terms of remote control. You don't have to change inputs on the main unit to hear MD, just push play on the remote and it does it automatically. Overall, this is a steal for $300. If you can find one, make sure to pick it up!! If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at bigj8318@bellsouth.net
