I purchased this deck from a person who had switched over to a mini system. I paid about $ 250.00 for this deck, and haven't regretted it! The recording quality and the provision for manual bias adjustment in simply great. I have been using the deck for about 4 years now.

I bought my Nakamichi Dragon in 1984 and have derived many years of pleasure from hearing its quality recordings over and over again! However, it is now time for a "tune-up." What "vehicle" can tout such a performance and reliability record as that? 15 years before its FIRST tune-up!

THE analog deck.

Exchanged due to consistant noise.

I purchased a Dragon in 1991 and after about a week a squealing sound surfaced when the transport mechanism was activated. I returned it and was told that it would be sent to "the factory" for repairs since no other model was available. I accepted this since I was in Japan and was told I would have it back within a week. Got the unit back and it still produced the noise. I got the store to ship a "new" model over and asked them to set it up for me so I could test it. The new unit made the same noise and gave up on the Dragon. I opted for an RX-505 instead. After I left Japan it began making the same noises. Wonder if anyone else has this same problem.

I collect classic and rare audio equiptment.
The Nakamichi Dragon is my second favorite.
My Tandberg 3004 is my favorite. Warmer,more natural
sound. Like them both alot. I'll bury them with me when I go.
