The 850ES is an excellent three head tape deck with manuel bias and calibration controls. With all kinds of quality CrO2 and metal tape this deck really performs well. The highs are easily extended and the bass response is as good as in any deck I've heard. Very solid, tight and extended. You can here the low frequency rumble. The midrange is very clear with just the slightest amount of grain. You have to strain really hard to here it. Overall as good a tape deck than you could hope for. Price $400.00
