Strength:

Bass, tonality, separation, and resolution.

Weakness:

Too picky!!

Very, very good sounding, with killer bass. Renditon of the human voice, and brass are probably not easily equaled.

Similar Products Used:

Luxman, Harman Kardon, Marantz, etc.

Strength:

Sound; sensitivity & selectivity; construction.

Weakness:

None.

I have three T-100 units, bought used, each one has replaced the older tuners in my home, office and summer house. Two are connected to Accuphase gear, one to a Berning tube amplifier and directly.

Built like a tank; solid and very heavy, PCBs and components are examplary, well-thought controls, built to last forever: hard to imagine that all three units were untouched for service since 1970's..

Very sensitive: With an ordinary wire of 4ft it pulls most of the stations in an urban area better than some other tuners with indoor antenna. Excellent selectivity... if you do not have the chance to use an outdoor antenna then T-100 can please you better than any other tuner.

Best sound and resolution: Most SS-tuners are hard to listen to after some hours.. not the T-100. Probably the smoothest SS-tuner with a warm and wide soundstage. If you have a tube-amp, try to connect it directly (has adjustable output); it might be a very different experience for you.

This is the only SS-tuner approaching to the smoothness of my MR-67 tube tuner, however with incomparably better sensitivity and selectivity.

Accuphase is a top quality name since the 70's. With the current costs of the production models it seems that the tuners like T-100 and T-101 will keep on to be regarded as bargains for a long time to come.

After owning some 10 top quality tuners I will finaly stay with my Accuphase T-100 I bought 6 months ago. It sounds warmer, fuller and even tighter than anything I have heard before and has a beautifull three-dimensional soundstage.
Furthermore it has an electrifying good resolution with a complete absence of
any s-problems! Construction, mechanically and electrically, is just perfect.
Catch one if you have the opportunity!

I have a T100. Only quibble is that the AM doesn't seem to work.
It gets great 3 dimensional sound from live Boston Symphony broadcasts.

I'd say it's about as transparent as any other source I have. I listen to nearfield ESL-63 US Monitors.

I hear they are tough to align but I understand one can say that about any good analog tuner. Just like a fine analog watch....

Ok, here are two more tuners of the 60 plus top tuners I have owned.I seem to be evaluating the best ones first.
One is FM only, the othere am-fm. These tuners have top quality construction, 3 meters, SUPER sen and sel, the best all around analog SS tuners I have tried. They pull the weak stations extremely well and have the best ss sound I have tried, better than the MR-78 which I find to be a very good tuner but over priced. These tuners have no flaws as far as performance or ergonomics, very heavy. The only thing that goes after many years is the stereo chip which seems to be no problem replacing, it seems to be a standard chip. The way you can tell is the stereo light goes out, no other problems. These sell for about $400 to $500 but deals can be found.

Strength:

I think all the other T100 owner was right. the AM section is OK. but the FM section is Beautiful. I think it better than the MR78 and very Quality build, I think it should be over 15Kg.

I think all the other T100 owner was right. the AM section is OK. but the FM section is Beautiful. I think it better than the MR78 and very Quality build, I think it should be over 15Kg in Weight. it is a super Tuner in a range between
$500~1000.
but for it best, I should recommend connect it to outdoor antena.

Strength:

It is simply the best tuner ever created. It sounds SO smooth and clear.

Weakness:

None I know of.

The Accuphase T-100 tuner is simply a masterpiece.
I haven't used mine in years since I listen mostly to CD's now. Actually, I would sell it for the right offer. If you listen to radio, you should try one of these.
Accuphase equipment is the best of its kind ever. This tuner picks up far away and weaker signal better than I have ever seen before. It sounds very cd-like on good signals.

Many other tuners over the years.
