This is the older 'integra' machine of Onkyo's tuner line. I have originally purchased the 4710 'integra' which is the newer model. The sound was very high (high dB) and the reception was O.K. In the meantime, somebody told me that 4970 'integra' was a better tuner. When I brought home a 4970 'integra' and hooked it to my rotel amp, I could easily hear that 4970 had a much more clear reception. Many of the stations I could not even receive with 4710 were there. The overall dB was lower than the 4710, but I could get a much more clear reception and of course I could turn the volume up to get a higher dB.I would recommend this tuner to anybody out there. If you can still find it, buy it. I don't think you can get a tuner better than this one.
