Strength:
Good quality portable recorder
Weakness:
bulky and rather heavy I been using this product since 1997 and I'm very pleased with it. Recordings are of a very high quality and this machine certainly outperforms the tcd-100 in nearly all respects. Hats off to Sony for a fine product. Similar Products Used: sony tcd 100 |

Strength:
Makes high Quality digital recordings.
Weakness:
Short Battery life for a DAT walkman The TCD-D7 is a fine machine in every respect, For a walkman sound quality is very high - not far off a Pro deck! Similar Products Used: Fostex D-5 Professional DAT recording deck |

Strength:
pisses all over a md! GET A DAT
Weakness:
none , considering the price This thing is a kick-ass walkman, just hook a pair of Grado sr60's up and you're laughing! I don't really concern myself with being too serios about this machine, but for a first dat it's perfect. It does everything you want it to, and pretty much fuss free - Take a sound tech's advice - if you want dat on a budget there is nothing to touch this great little thing for the money. Strength:
it works
Weakness:
mic preamp sucks, overloads well under 0db, no included or cheap digital i/o, only an overpriced IN only cable, and a super overpriced junction box if you need OUTPUT as well. A to D converters are marginal whichever input you use. if you need to take digital OUT of this thing, or do analog recordings IN, whether thru mic or line input, you're best advised to look elsewhere Similar Products Used: none |
