Panasonic introduces a new portable stereo the RX-D12. This affordable model features such amenities as acoustic separator cabinet, multi-function CD player and digital tuner with 24-station presets. The Acoustic Separator Cabinet allows exceptionally clean sound quality. This enhancement places speakers in a separate compartment, keeping them away from the unit's operating mechanisms and each other. The result: minimized cross-speaker interference and virtually no distortion from the other electronic components in the unit. Bass Reflex Ports are also provided for a bigger bass sound. Adding to the bass performance is Panasonic's XBS Extra Bass System that ensures rich, low frequencies without affecting the high end. XBS level is adjustable so the effect can be tailored to suit individual tastes. The 4-inch speakers' free-edge design results in outstanding bass response.
