Panasonic introduces its new portable stereo system - the RX-D13. This affordable model features such amenities as acoustic separator cabinet, a multi-function CD player and a digital tuner with 24-station presets. The Acoustic Separator Cabinet brings exceptionally clean sound. This enhancement places speakers in a separate compartment, keeping them away from the unit's operating mechanisms and each other. The result: minimized cross-speaker interference and virtually no distortion from other electronic components in the unit. Bass Reflex Ports are also provided for a bigger bass sound. The Panasonic's XBS Extra Bass System ensures rich, low frequencies for live sound. XBS level is adjustable so the effect can be tailored to suit individual tastes. The Digital Synthesizer Tuner provides auto tuning and memory for up to 24-stations while allowing virtually drift-free AM/FM reception. The RX-D13 model also features a wireless remote control, which controls all major CD functions as well as volume.
