My boombox is now 15 years old and works as new! I have never serviced it. Only once when my child knocked it of the cupboard I did have to change the antenna. It plays CD's well, the cassette works great and the radio has a good reception-it even picks up radio from Istanbul on FM (400km away)! I recommend this to anyone who has poor reception in their area and wants good reliability. The portability is great(I use it when I go camping)! The batteries last a long time too.

The sound is acceptable, but the bass is very weak. The bass boost function just turns the volume up-doesnt make a difference

Overall, I would recommend the radio to everyone and all purposes. All the functions work well and are reliable. For the price I really cant fault the unit. It is also quite strong.
