Strength:
Looks kewl
Weakness:
No bass wihout Dynamic Bass boost on. For the hight ticket price the sound sucks. Without the DBB switch on, there is NO bass at all. This thing goes for $60 on sale at Target and Mercata.com had it for $80! I got it for the wife (she realy wanted it) from a mercata powerbuy for $40. I am glad I did not spend more than $40. For that price, it is okay. It looks cool and "trendy" but sounds like an old tin can without the DBB switch on. With the DBB switch on, it sounds okay for a small boom box. However, the wife who has no clue about sound loves it so my guess is that the casual listener that loves the look will like the sound. Ah, ignorance is bliss :) |

This product has performed well, but I can not recommend any product from Philips do to their poor warrenty policy. It also appears that there are some quality concerns with many of Philip's products. Read reviews of other Philips products and make your own assessment. Philip does not understand how intolerant consumers are of equipment failures after only a few months of use. They also do not understand that when it does happen, the comsumer does not want to be inconvienanced. I want to take the thing back to where I bought it and get another one. No trying to find a service center, no waiting for it to get repaired and definately no charge for labor during the first year of owner ship. |
