Aiwa's XP-MP3 is an MP3-capable portable CD player with excellent audio quality and perhaps the best song/directory navigation on the market. The XP-MP3 plays standard audio CDs, as well as MP3 files. It supports both CD-R and CD-RW discs and will even play back multisession discs. Sound quality is quite good for all audio files. Aiwa's consumer audio experience shows in the XP-MP3's control panel. Controls are logically laid out in an oval pattern, with dedicated keys for moving between directories. You can play MP3 CDs in Disc mode, where all operations affect the entire CD, or in Album mode, where they work on a single directory.
